Scoring Methodology

How We Score AliExpress Deals

Every product on AliShopping Deals receives an AI Product Score (APS) from 0 to 100. Higher scores mean better deals on every dimension that matters to buyers. Here’s exactly what goes into that number.

Price History

Is the discount real?

We track the listed price of every product for at least 180 days before scoring it. A product that shows 60% off is only meaningful if the original price was held for a sustained period — not inflated a week before the sale. APS heavily penalizes products that spike their reference price artificially. If we can't find sufficient price history, the product doesn't rank here.

Seller Trust

Who is selling this?

We evaluate each seller's account age, completed order volume, dispute rate, and response time to negative reviews. A new account with 10 sales and a 5-star average is less trustworthy than a 3-year account with 10,000 orders and a 4.7 average. Sellers below our minimum trust threshold are excluded from the listings entirely, regardless of product price.

Review Quality

Are the reviews honest?

AliExpress allows sellers to offer incentives for reviews, and review clusters can appear artificially. We analyze the distribution of ratings over time, flag accounts that leave identical reviews across multiple products, and weight verified purchase reviews higher. A product with 500 reviews clustered in a single week is treated with more skepticism than one that accumulated reviews steadily over 12 months.

Photo Authenticity

Does what arrives match what's shown?

We compare seller photos against buyer-uploaded images in the reviews. When there's a large visual gap — the studio shot shows one item, buyers post photos of something different — we lower the APS score and add a mismatch flag. Products where buyer photos consistently match the listing earn a higher photo authenticity score.

Shipping Reliability

Will it actually arrive?

We factor in the seller's stated shipping methods, average delivery time reported by buyers, and dispute rates related to non-delivery. Products with ePacket, AliExpress Standard Shipping, or seller-fulfilled shipping above 95% on-time delivery score higher. Items that frequently appear in non-delivery disputes are ranked lower regardless of price.

Composite Score

What does 0–100 mean?

The five dimensions above are weighted and combined into a single APS. Scores above 80 indicate a strong deal across all factors. Scores between 60–80 mean the product is solid but has at least one area where we’re cautious — usually reflected in the badge. Scores below 60 don’t appear on this site. We don’t use a fixed formula — weights adjust based on product category, since shipping reliability matters more for heavy items and review quality matters more for beauty products.
