If you are shipping to a Spanish address, the AliExpress Promo de Verano running June 1–10, 2026 CET unlocks a dedicated Spain-only code series with eight spend tiers and discounts up to €110 off. Spain joins Germany, France, and Italy as one of the four EU countries with a dedicated code pool separate from the broader VIOSS EU codes — the ESSS series is exclusive to Spanish shipping addresses, and the top tier ESSS110 ties Italy as the highest discount ceiling in the entire European market. A warm-up window runs May 29–31 with smaller daily deals before the main event launches June 1. Which Spain tier should I pick?
Always use the highest tier your carrito already clears. Going up one tier by adding a €4 filler item is fine when the next tier's discount more than covers the filler cost. Quick reference for a typical Spanish shopper:
Carrito €15–€39: ESSS03 — single small accessory, cable USB, funda móvil.
Carrito €39–€69: ESSS06 — typical auriculares plus cargador combo, single mid-range gadget.
Carrito €69–€139: ESSS10 — small dropshipping test order, smartwatch plus accesorios, two-three product bundle.
Carrito €139–€209: ESSS20 — early sample order, mid-tier electronics like altavoz Bluetooth.
Example: Your carrito sits at €640. ESSS65 saves you €65. ESSS110 needs €650 — adding a €12 cable USB-C filler item nets you €110 off, so the next-tier jump pays for itself (net gain €33). Always do the gap math before adding filler items — the jump from €459 to €650 is steep, but €65 → €110 is a €45 swing that easily absorbs €10–€20 of filler.
Spain-specific quirks
Separate from the EU pool. Spain gets its own dedicated ESSS codes. The broader EU VIOSS pool covers AT, BE, CH, CZ, DK, FI, HU, IE, PT, and SE — but not Spain, Germany, France, or Italy. If you try a VIOSS code on a Spanish address, it will return "Código no válido para tu región." Always use ESSS for Spanish shipping.
Highest ceiling in Europe (tied with Italy). ESSS110 at €110 off €650+ is the joint-highest tier in the European market — Germany maxes at €65 off, France maxes at €70 off. This makes Spain (and Italy) the most attractive markets for high-ticket sourcing runs and bulk dropshipping samples within the EU.
Warm-up flash deals (May 29–31). AliExpress runs flash deals during the warm-up window with discounts hitting up to 80% off on listing prices. Selected categories activate a subset of ESSS* codes one to three days early — usually electronics, apparel, and casa y jardín. The deals end at 23:59 CET on May 31 and the regular Promo de Verano takes over from June 1.
Virtual products excluded. Unlike Germany or the US which only exclude select restricted electronics, Spain's ESSS* series explicitly excludes virtual products — digital gift cards, software licenses, online courses, and prepaid SIM activations all return "Producto no compatible con este código." Stick to physical SKUs.
Bizum and PayPal accepted. AliExpress checkout in Spain supports Bizum (the Spanish instant payment network), PayPal, tarjeta, and SEPA transfer. All payment methods are compatible with ESSS* codes — no payment-method restriction applies to the event series.
IVA and shipping excluded from spend tier. The minimum spend threshold counts only the carrito subtotal. A €635 subtotal stays in ESSS65 territory even after AliExpress adds 21% IVA at checkout under EU IOSS rules. Plan filler items against the subtotal, not the displayed total.

Do Spain codes work if my shipping address is in Portugal or Andorra?
No. AliExpress validates ESSS codes against the shipping country. Portugal falls under the EU VIOSS pool (despite the geographical proximity), and Andorra has separate handling. A ESSS* code applied to a Portuguese or Andorran address will be rejected at checkout. Use the relevant country series — see the Summer Sale June 2026 pillar for the full country list.
Can I stack two Spain codes on one order?
No. The ESSS codes are single-use per pedido — only one applies. You also cannot combine an ESSS code with a new user welcome discount or with a Choice voucher on the same order. Pick whichever yields the larger discount on your specific carrito.
When do the Spain codes expire?
All ESSS* event codes expire at 23:59 CET on June 10, 2026. The May 29–31 warm-up activates a subset of codes one to three days early on selected categories, but the full event runs June 1 onwards. After June 10 the codes return "Código caducado" at checkout.
Why does Spain get its own codes instead of the EU pool?
AliExpress treats Spain as a tier-one EU market alongside Germany, France, and Italy due to consistent top-10 EU buyer volume. Dedicated code pools let AliExpress price-discriminate against local competition (Amazon.es, El Corte Inglés, Carrefour Online) more aggressively than the broader EU pool allows. The ESSS110 ceiling is intentionally aggressive to claw share from Amazon Prime Day previews (which historically launch in mid-June).
Are all categories included or only Choice products?
Most categories are included, including smartphones, apparel, casa y jardín, and electronics. Unlike Italy which explicitly confirms smartphone eligibility, Spain's main exclusions are virtual products (digital licenses, gift cards) and select restricted items flagged at the seller level. The reliable check is the "Promo de Verano" badge on the listing — if it shows, the ESSS* code applies.
Source the right products before June 10
Codes only matter when the product itself is worth the post-discount price.
