Quick answer: AliExpress ships to Poland in 20–45 days standard via Poczta Polska and InPost. Since July 2021, 23% Polish VAT applies to all imports — AliExpress pre-collects it via IOSS for orders under €150. The old €22 VAT-free threshold no longer exists. Orders over €150 go through Urząd Celny. Install AliShopping Tools on the Chrome Web Store →
AliExpress Shipping to Poland: Everything You Need to Know in 2026
Poland is one of the fastest-growing e-commerce markets in Central and Eastern Europe. Polish buyers — increasingly comfortable buying from international platforms — are a significant segment of AliExpress's European traffic. The combination of value pricing on AliExpress and Poland's strong logistics infrastructure makes it an appealing sourcing and dropshipping market.
But EU customs rules changed significantly in July 2021, and many guides still reference the old €22 VAT-free threshold that no longer exists. If you are buying from AliExpress to a Polish address, or dropshipping to Polish customers, you need to understand how VAT and customs actually work in 2026.
This guide covers shipping methods, real delivery times, EU VAT rules for Poland, how to track AliExpress packages through Polish customs, and what dropshippers need to know about this market.
Does AliExpress Ship to Poland?
Yes, AliExpress ships to Poland. Poland has well-developed last-mile logistics infrastructure — InPost (the parcel locker network that covers most of the country), Poczta Polska (Polish national post), DPD, GLS, and international couriers all operate at scale. AliExpress sellers have multiple shipping options that reach Polish addresses, including remote areas.
Poland is a member of the European Union, which means EU customs rules, VAT regulations, and import frameworks all apply. Understanding these rules is more important than in many other countries because the VAT framework changed significantly in mid-2021.
Shipping Methods from AliExpress to Poland
| Shipping Method | Estimated Delivery to Poland | Typical Cost | Tracking Coverage |
|---|---|---|---|
| AliExpress Standard Shipping | 20–45 days | Free – $5 USD | Good (China Post + Poczta Polska) |
| AliExpress Premium Shipping | 10–25 days | $5–$15 USD | Better |
| China Post Ordinary Parcel | 25–50 days | Free – $3 USD | Limited |
| China Post Air Mail | 20–45 days | Free – $4 USD | Moderate |
| ePacket | 15–30 days | $3–$8 USD | Good |
| Cainiao Super Economy | 25–50 days | Free – $2 USD | Basic |
| DHL Express | 5–10 business days | $20–$60 USD | Excellent |
| FedEx | 5–10 business days | $20–$55 USD | Excellent |
| UPS | 6–12 business days | $18–$50 USD | Excellent |
AliExpress Standard Shipping is the most commonly available economy option for Polish buyers. It typically routes through Chinese consolidation networks before handing off to Poczta Polska for last-mile delivery, or to InPost for parcel locker delivery where the seller supports it.
AliExpress Premium Shipping gives you faster processing through Chinese export and EU customs entry, with better tracking throughout. For packages under about €100, this is often the best value upgrade.
ePacket is a solid option when available — reliable tracking and faster than basic China Post services. Availability depends on the seller.
DHL, FedEx, and UPS are the only genuine fast options. They manage customs brokerage end-to-end and deliver on consistent timelines. At $20–$60 USD on top of the product cost, they are expensive for low-value orders but unmatched for reliability.
How Long Does AliExpress Take to Ship to Poland?
Distances from China to Poland are significant — roughly 9,000 km — and most consumer parcels travel by air freight regardless of the shipping method.
Realistic delivery windows for Poland in 2026:
- AliExpress Standard Shipping: 20–35 days on average; up to 45 days during November–January peak season
- AliExpress Premium Shipping: 12–25 days
- ePacket: 15–28 days
- DHL / FedEx / UPS: 5–10 business days consistently
Add 1–5 business days for seller processing before dispatch. Peak shipping seasons (November Singles' Day, December Christmas) significantly lengthen economy shipping times — sometimes by 10–15 additional days — because Chinese export freight capacity is overwhelmed.
Poland's Customs Office (Urząd Celny) processing times are generally fast for standard imports, but periodic backlogs at Warsaw and Poznań customs facilities can add 2–5 days for packages requiring inspection.
EU VAT and Customs for AliExpress Orders to Poland
This is where most AliExpress guides get it wrong in 2026. The rules changed significantly in July 2021.
The End of the €22 VAT Exemption
Before July 1, 2021, goods valued under €22 imported into the EU (including Poland) were exempt from VAT. That threshold no longer exists. The EU's Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) framework eliminated it:
Since July 1, 2021: VAT applies to all goods imported into Poland from outside the EU, regardless of value.
Poland's VAT rate is 23% for most goods (reduced rates of 8% and 5% apply to certain categories like food, books, and children's items — not typical AliExpress consumer goods).
How AliExpress Handles EU VAT (IOSS)
AliExpress is registered under the EU's IOSS (Import One Stop Shop) system for orders valued under €150. This means:
- For orders under €150: AliExpress collects Polish VAT (23%) at checkout and remits it directly to EU tax authorities. When your package arrives at Polish customs, it clears without additional VAT charges because the tax was pre-collected. You see the VAT included in the AliExpress price.
- For orders over €150: The goods go through standard Polish customs assessment. Urząd Celny will assess import duty and VAT, and you (or your freight forwarder) must pay before the package is released.
In practice: Most individual AliExpress purchases are under €150, meaning most Polish buyers now pay VAT at the AliExpress checkout (higher apparent price) with no surprise bill at the door. This is a significant improvement from the old system where packages could be held at customs for VAT payment.
Import Duties for Poland (EU Common Customs Tariff)
As an EU member, Poland applies the EU's Common External Tariff (CET) for goods imported from China. Duty rates vary by product category:
- Electronics: Often 0–3.7%
- Clothing and footwear: 12%
- Toys: 4.7%
- Household goods: Variable (0–6.5%)
- Most small consumer goods: 0–12%
For orders under €150, AliExpress typically does not collect import duty — just VAT. Duty liability for low-value imports is often waived under EU de minimis rules for customs duty (€150 threshold). For orders over €150, duty applies on top of VAT.
Special Cases: "Aliexpress Standard Shipping-Poland"
Polish buyers searching for "aliexpress standard shipping-poland" are often asking specifically about the AliExpress Standard Shipping method reliability for Polish delivery. Here is what to know:
- AliExpress Standard Shipping to Poland typically handoffs to Poczta Polska or a private courier (DPD, GLS) for last-mile delivery
- InPost parcel locker delivery may be available for some shipments — convenient for Polish buyers who prefer to collect at their local locker
- IOSS-compliant shipments (under €150 from AliExpress) clear Polish customs faster because VAT is pre-paid
- Tracking can go quiet for 5–10 days during international transit before appearing in Polish carrier systems
Tracking Your AliExpress Order to Poland
Within China: Updates are frequent and detailed. You will see sorting facility, dispatch to airport, and departure confirmation.
International transit: Tracking gaps of 5–10 days are normal while the parcel is physically in transit. Economy shipping often routes through multiple consolidation hubs before reaching Poland.
Polish customs: IOSS-compliant packages (under €150 from AliExpress) typically clear very quickly — often same-day or next-day processing. Non-IOSS packages or packages over €150 may require additional processing time.
Last-mile in Poland: Once Poczta Polska, InPost, DPD, or GLS has your package, tracking resumes normally with regular scan events.
Best tracking resources for Polish AliExpress orders:
- AliExpress order page: Consolidated tracking with carrier status
- Poczta Polska tracking (poczta.pl): Works once the package is in the Polish postal system
- InPost tracking (inpost.pl): If last-mile is via InPost parcel lockers
- 17track.net: Best for tracking during the international transit gap
- Parcels.cz / Parcel Monitor: Good for cross-border EU tracking
Tips for Dropshippers Shipping to Polish Customers
Poland is an excellent dropshipping market for several reasons: high internet penetration, growing middle class purchasing power, strong preference for price-competitive international goods, and excellent InPost parcel locker infrastructure that gives your customers convenient delivery options.
Understand VAT positioning. Since AliExpress collects VAT at checkout via IOSS, your COGS (cost of goods sold) from AliExpress already includes 23% Polish VAT for orders under €150. If your dropshipping store sells at prices excluding VAT, you need to reconcile this in your accounting.
InPost is a competitive advantage. Polish customers love parcel lockers. If you can offer InPost delivery through your logistics setup (requires a Polish shipping partner or 3PL), it significantly improves customer experience and reduces failed delivery rates.
Economy shipping is viable, but set expectations clearly. Polish e-commerce customers are accustomed to fast domestic delivery (next-day from Polish warehouses). If you are shipping from China, clearly communicate the 20–35 day shipping window. Hiding it creates refund requests.
Vet suppliers for IOSS compliance. For orders under €150 sold to EU customers, you need your goods to clear EU customs without additional VAT charges. AliExpress handles this for you through IOSS when you buy directly. If you are using a freight forwarder or third-party supplier, confirm their IOSS compliance.
Before committing to a supplier, run the numbers. AliShopping Tools is a free Chrome extension that shows price history, supplier trust scores, and risk assessments directly on AliExpress product pages. For EU dropshipping where supplier reliability and VAT compliance matter, knowing your supplier quality before you list their product is critical. Free to install, no account required.
