AliExpress Shipping to the Philippines 2026

Quick answer: AliExpress delivers to the Philippines in 15-25 days via Standard Shipping (free) or 7-15 days via AliExpress Choice. Imports under PHP 10,000 are duty-free. GCash and Maya are accepted. For Metro Manila, Choice is the fastest affordable option.

AliExpress Shipping to the Philippines 2026 — Delivery Times, Costs & Customs

AliExpress ships to the Philippines via AliExpress Standard Shipping (15-25 days), Cainiao Super Economy (12-20 days), and China Post (25-45 days). Imports valued under PHP 10,000 (the de minimis threshold) are generally duty-free. AliExpress Choice offers faster 7-15 day delivery to Metro Manila, with J&T Express and other local couriers handling last-mile delivery across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Shipping Methods Compared

Notes on delivery times: These are estimates based on typical 2025-2026 shipping patterns. Actual times vary by seller location, customs processing, and whether you are in Metro Manila or a provincial area. During major sales (11.11, 12.12), expect 5-10 extra days due to volume.

AliExpress Choice — The Fastest Affordable Option

AliExpress Choice bundles items from verified warehouses and ships them together for faster delivery. For Filipino buyers, this often means:

• 7-15 day delivery to Metro Manila addresses
• 10-20 days to major provincial cities (Cebu, Davao, Zamboanga)
• Free shipping when your combined order meets the minimum (usually around $8)
• Better tracking compared to economy options

Look for the orange "Choice" badge on product listings. Items without the badge ship via standard methods.

Customs & Duties in the Philippines

De Minimis Threshold

The Philippines has a de minimis threshold of PHP 10,000 (approximately $175-180 USD at current rates). This means:

• Under PHP 10,000: Generally no customs duties. Your package should clear customs without additional charges.
• Over PHP 10,000: Subject to customs duties and VAT.

VAT and Duties on Imports

For shipments exceeding the de minimis:

• VAT: 12% on the assessed value (product price + shipping + insurance)
• Customs duty: Varies by product category, typically 0-30%. Electronics, clothing, and accessories each have different rates.
• Informal Entry Fee: The Bureau of Customs (BOC) may charge a processing fee for packages that require formal assessment.

For exact duty rates on specific items, check the Bureau of Customs website at customs.gov.ph or the Philippine Tariff Commission. Do not rely on rough estimates for high-value orders — rates change and depend on product classification.

Common Items Flagged at Customs

Certain product categories draw more attention from BOC:

• Electronics (phones, tablets, laptops) — almost always inspected if declared value seems low
• Cosmetics and skincare — may require FDA clearance
• Food supplements and vitamins — FDA-regulated
• Batteries and power banks — shipping restrictions; some couriers refuse these
• Quantities suggesting resale — multiple units of the same item may trigger commercial import assessment

How to Claim a Package Held at Customs

If your package is held:

1. Wait for the notice. PHLPost or your courier sends an SMS or card to your address.
2. Prepare documents: Valid ID, tracking number, proof of purchase (AliExpress order screenshot showing the price you paid).
3. Go to the post office or customs office listed on the notice. For Manila, this is usually the Central Post Office or your local branch.
4. Pay any assessed duties/fees. Bring cash — not all offices accept digital payment.
5. Processing time: Allow 1-5 business days after paying. Some offices release same-day.

Tip: Keep your AliExpress order confirmation and payment receipt. If customs assesses a value higher than what you paid, the receipt is your proof for dispute.

Payment Methods for Filipino Buyers

AliExpress supports several payment options popular in the Philippines:

• GCash: Widely accepted. Link your GCash account directly in the AliExpress app under Payment Methods. Works for most orders. Transaction limits apply based on your GCash verification level.
• Maya (formerly PayMaya): Also accepted as a payment method. Functions similarly to GCash.
• Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, and JCB work. BDO, BPI, Metrobank, and other major Philippine bank cards are generally accepted. Some banks may flag international transactions — notify your bank beforehand for large orders.
• AliExpress Wallet: Load funds in advance via GCash or card, then pay from the wallet balance.
• COD (Cash on Delivery): Very limited on AliExpress. Most international shipments do not support COD. If COD appears as an option, verify it is legitimate before relying on it.

Practical note: GCash is the most convenient option for most Filipino buyers. If your GCash has sufficient balance, it is the fastest checkout method with no additional fees from AliExpress.

Tips for Filipino Buyers

Metro Manila vs. Provinces

Shipping experience differs significantly:

• Metro Manila: Fastest delivery. Most couriers have daily routes. AliExpress Choice regularly hits 7-15 days. J&T, Flash Express, and Ninja Van all service NCR addresses efficiently.
• Major provincial cities (Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Bacolod, CDO): Add 3-7 days on top of Manila estimates. Courier coverage is solid but less frequent.
• Rural provinces and island municipalities: Add 7-15 days. Some areas only receive deliveries weekly. PHLPost may be the only option for very remote barangays.

Best Shipping Methods by Location

• Metro Manila: AliExpress Choice or SF Express for speed. AliExpress Standard for value.
• Provincial capitals: AliExpress Standard Shipping — good balance of speed and cost.
• Remote areas: Cainiao or China Post — they route through PHLPost, which has the widest coverage in the Philippines including island municipalities.

When to Buy

The best times to order from AliExpress:

• 3.28 Sale (March): Decent discounts, lower shipping volume means faster delivery.
• 6.18 Mid-Year Sale: Strong discounts, moderate volume.
• 8.8, 9.9, 10.10: Smaller sales but good deals with faster processing.
• 11.11 Singles' Day: The biggest sale. Best prices, but expect the longest delays (30-50 days is common due to warehouse and customs volume).
• 12.12: Good deals, but holiday season slows customs. Order early if you need items by Christmas.

Pro tip: If delivery speed matters, avoid ordering during the first 3 days of 11.11. The warehouse surge creates a bottleneck. Order during the pre-sale period or wait until November 14-15 when logistics stabilize.

Handling Last-Mile Delivery

Once your package enters the Philippines, it is typically handed to a local courier:

• J&T Express: The most common last-mile partner. Track via the J&T app or j&texpress.ph. Delivery attempts are usually 1-2 before the package goes to a nearby J&T hub for pickup.
• Flash Express: Growing presence. Track on their app.
• PHLPost: Handles economy shipments. Slower but reaches everywhere. Check tracking at phlpost.gov.ph.
• Ninja Van: Occasionally used for AliExpress Choice shipments.

If you miss a delivery, check the courier's app or SMS for the nearest pickup point. Most couriers hold packages for 5-7 days before returning them.

Tracking Your Package

Use these tools to track AliExpress shipments to the Philippines:

• AliExpress App: Built-in tracking. Shows updates from seller dispatch through local delivery. Tap Orders, then the specific order, then Track.
• Cainiao Tracking (global.cainiao.com): Best for Cainiao and AliExpress Standard shipments. Shows detailed transit points.
• 17track.net: Aggregates tracking from multiple carriers. Useful when the AliExpress app shows no updates — 17track sometimes picks up scans the app misses.
• PHLPost (phlpost.gov.ph): For packages routed through the Philippine Postal Corporation. Enter the 13-character tracking number.
• J&T Express (jtexpress.ph): For last-mile tracking once the package is in the Philippines.

Common tracking gap: Packages often show no updates for 5-10 days between "Departed country of origin" and "Arrived in destination country." This is normal — the package is in transit or waiting for customs processing. Do not open a dispute during this window unless the estimated delivery date has passed. Verify Before You Buy with AliShopping Tools

Before placing an order, use AliShopping Tools to make smarter buying decisions:

• Seller Checker: See a seller's real rating, order history, and how long they have been on AliExpress. Helps you avoid new or low-rated sellers who are more likely to ship slowly or send wrong items.
• Price History: Check whether the current price is actually a deal or an inflated "discount." Particularly useful during 11.11 and 12.12 when some sellers raise prices before applying sale discounts.
• Deal Verification: Confirm that a promoted deal is genuine and the product matches its listing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does AliExpress deliver to provinces outside Metro Manila?

Yes. AliExpress delivers to all Philippine provinces, including Visayas and Mindanao. Delivery times are longer for provincial addresses — expect 20-35 days for standard shipping versus 15-25 days for Metro Manila. Remote island municipalities may take longer and are typically served by PHLPost.

How do I pay with GCash on AliExpress?

Open the AliExpress app, go to Account, then Payment Methods, and add GCash. During checkout, select GCash as your payment method. You will be redirected to the GCash app to authorize the payment. Make sure your GCash balance covers the full order amount including shipping.

What happens if my package is held at customs?

You will receive a notice (SMS or physical card) from PHLPost or your courier. Go to the designated post office or customs office with your valid ID, tracking number, and proof of purchase. Pay any assessed duties or fees, and your package will be released. Processing usually takes 1-5 business days.

Is there a way to avoid customs duties?

Orders valued under PHP 10,000 (roughly $175-180 USD) generally clear customs without duties. For orders above this threshold, duties and 12% VAT apply. Some sellers offer to declare a lower value on the package — this is technically customs fraud and can result in your package being seized. We do not recommend it.

How long does AliExpress Choice take to deliver to the Philippines?

AliExpress Choice typically delivers in 7-15 days to Metro Manila and 10-20 days to major provincial cities. Actual times depend on warehouse availability and customs processing speed. Choice shipments are prioritized and tend to clear customs faster than economy options.

Can I return items to AliExpress from the Philippines?

Yes, but return shipping from the Philippines to China is expensive (often PHP 500-2,000+ depending on weight) and may cost more than the item itself. For low-value items, requesting a refund without return is usually a better option — open a dispute in the AliExpress app and explain the issue. Many sellers agree to partial or full refunds without requiring a return. See our step-by-step AliExpress refund guide for the full process.

Why is my tracking stuck on "Handed over to carrier for transit"?

This status means the package has left the seller's warehouse and is being transported to the international shipping hub. It can stay on this status for 3-7 days. If there are no updates after 10 days, contact the seller through AliExpress messaging. Do not open a dispute until the estimated delivery date has passed.
